The 1998 NFFA Youth Flag League was a showcase of dominant performances and emerging rivalries. In the Northern Conference, the Doncaster Wildcats were completely unstoppable — going undefeated with a 9–0 record, scoring 340 points and allowing just 8 all season. They were joined in the playoffs by the strong UCLA Renegades, who dropped only two games and put up solid offensive numbers.
