📋 Season Summary
The 1997 BYAFA Youth Kitted season saw clear dominance from two programs — Lancashire Wolverine Colts and Farnham Knights — who both topped their respective conferences and advanced to the championship game.
In the Southern Conference, Farnham posted an undefeated regular season (aside from one tie), and crushed the Luton Huskers in the semi-final with a 40–0 shutout. Meanwhile, Lancashire were untouchable in the North, boasting a perfect 6–0 record while conceding only 20 points all season.
The Division 1 Final was a more balanced affair, but the Wolverine Colts secured a strong 24–12 win over Farnham to claim the 1997 youth national championship — capping off a flawless year and solidifying their status as a powerhouse of the British youth game.
